Outstanding Employee Awards

We all know people here at Gateway Technical College that always go “above and beyond” what is expected. This is your opportunity to nominate your coworkers for recognition of their efforts and contributions. 

Award recipients will be honored at our recognition dinner on February 5, 2010, at the Parkway Chateau. To submit your nomination, please send the appropriate completed form to: Terry Strash, Human Resources - Administration Center, by Friday, November 13, 2009. ADMINISTRATOR     
■    Supervisory, managerial, confidential, and nonrepresented administrative professional staff.

AFSCME
■     Full-time and regular part-time office support professionals.

GESP
■    Full-time and regular part-time technical support professionals, which include paraprofessionals, custodians and maintenance staff, and staff who do not teach or counsel students.

NEW FACULTY
■    Full-time and regular part-time faculty who have been employed at Gateway for three years or less.

NON-INSTRUCTIONAL GTEA
■    Full-time or regular part-time professional personnel including counselors, advisors, librarians, AODA specialist, teaching assistants, A-T lab assistants.

COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD
■    Time and effort provided by an employee or retiree without pay or company sponsorship, for the good of the local community or society in general.  It must have non-sectarian goals or objectives and be of service or benefit for the community at large.   Work done for a nominee’s church, temple, or synagogue, while laudable, does not apply for this award.

February 6 - Staff Recognition Dinner - campus selectees are recognized
May 24 - 27 - President's Faculty Excellence Award selectees and the college president attend NISOD International Conference in Austin, Texas
